The Geometridae global campaign aims at assembling a complete reference library for all loopers moths on the planet, associating DNA barcodes and reliable taxonomic information. The community of expert geometridologists (Forum Herbulot) is deeply involved in this project and many colleagues have started to use DNA barcodes in an integrative taxonomic approach – combined with morphological study – to address the yet undescribed part of the diversity of this hyperdiverse group of insects.
