The Lepidoptera of North-America campaign aims at assembling a complete reference library for all butterflies and moths occurring in America north of Mexico, associating DNA barcodes and reliable taxonomic information. This is the best known highly diverse lepidopteran fauna distributed over such a large geographical and climatic scale, offering as such a perfect ground for testing the efficiency of DNA barcoding across geography and taxonomy.
